REFUND POLICY

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your transaction, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return/refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned.   Non-returnable items include but are not limited to: 
– Gift cards 
– Coupons/Vouchers

– Damaged items

– Subscriptions purchased


To complete your refund, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your item back to the manufacturer. 


There are certain situations where no refunds may be granted based on the assessment of the merits of each case:
– In the case of subscription payments, cancellation in the month for which a subscription fee has already been paid, is not allowed, any fees paid for the month in question are therefore non-refundable.  If however the Purchaser has not made a rental during the month the subscription is valid for and would like to “roll-over” their subscription to the succeeding month, the Purchaser may notify the Lessor in writing requesting the aforementioned no later than 14 business days prior to the end of their current active subscription month.
– Any rental item which is not in its original condition upon return/completion of the rental period, or is damaged or missing, or missing parts for reasons not due to the Lessor’s error, will result in the forfeit of the full security deposit paid, in addition, the Lessor reserves the right to collect any other applicable fees as stipulated within the Terms of Service, over and above the forfeit of the security deposit. 

-Any item that is returned more than 5 days after the scheduled collection date/completion date for the rental period, for any reason whatsoever shall be subject to the payment of late fees as determined and within the sole discretion of the Lessor.


Where a return is undertaken, your item will be inspected, after which we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. 

Late or missing refunds 
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at bookings@shade-switchitup.co.za

Sale items 
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges 
We only replace/exchange rental items if they are not functional or damaged such that they are not aesthetically pleasing any longer. Replacements/exchanges may be requested bookings@shade-switchitup.co.za.

 Gifts 
If the item was a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. 
 

If the item a a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he/she will find out about your return. 

Shipping 
To return your product, send a return request to bookings@shade-switchitup.co.za or contact your personal booking agent.  
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. All original shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. 
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged/replaced product to reach you, may vary. 

All items shipped on the basis of return/exchange, must use a trackable shipping service, alternatively you must purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
